The Minimally Invasive Cranial Base Center endovascular program treats complex neurologic vascular lesions including aneurysm embolization/clipping, arteriovenous malformation, embolization/resection and tumor embolization. By threading small catheters through arteries and veins, lesions are managed from within rather than from without. The advantage to this less invasive approach is shorter recovery times and more effective therapy. This center is a collaborative effort with the UPMC Stroke Institute, directed by Dr. Lawrence Wechsler.
