John Hurlbert, MD, an associate professor in the departments of clinical neurosciences and surgery at the University of Calgary, lectured here on minocycline and acute spinal cord injury research September 7 as part of the department's on-going visiting professor lecture series.

In addition to his afternoon lecture, Dr. Hurlbert participated in the department's regular conferences throughout the day and was the featured guest at an invitation only dinner and reception later in the evening at The Pittsburgh Golf Club where he presented a second lecture on methylprednisolone guidelines in spinal cord injuries.
