Pittsburgh, March 2, 2016 -- Sixth-year resident Zachary Tempel, MD, has been awarded a Young Investigator Award from the Society for Lateral Access Surgery (SOLAS) for his abstract "Does Concave Versus Convex Approach Matter When Using Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion For Adult Scoliosis?" The award will be presented to Dr. Tempel during the organization's annual meeting scheduled for March 10-12 in Carlsbad, Calif.
Adam S. Kanter, MD, and David O. Okonkwo, MD, PhD, were also authors on the paper.
