Chrisanne attended Duquesne University earning a bachelor of science degree in biology in 1993. She worked for several years in a research lab before returning to Duquesne University to complete her master's degree in physician assistant studies in 1998. She initially started her physician assistant career in Washington, Pa. where she worked within a large internal medicine practice. She then joined the University of Pittsburgh Department of Neurological Surgery in 2001. She first worked with both the cranial and spine teams but later branched off to the inpatient spine service. She has served as a preceptor for physician assistant students from Duquesne University and Chatham University.
