Shannon Casey, CRNP, joined the University Of Pittsburgh Department Of Neurological Surgery in August 2023, but has been an employee of UPMC since 2014. She completed her associate of science in nursing in 2013, and went straight to work as registered nurse at UPMC Shadyside with the Department of Neurosurgery. Over the course of her career she specialized primarily in treating patients in the neurologic, surgical, trauma and intensive care populations. She completed her bachelor of science in nursing in 2019 at California University of Pennsylvania, and her master of science in nursing as an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in 2022 from Walden University.
